Janine Gibson draws on her surrounds to inspire her art – from the beauty of Currarong and Beecroft Peninsula where she lives, to the snow-capped peaks of the Snowy Mountains, and the rugged scribbly gum woodlands of Windellama, where she spends time each year. “I started painting some 35 years ago, dabbling in oils and acrylics. These days my preferred medium is pastel, however, I do love to splash about with acrylics on canvas as well. With the beauty of the coast, the mountains and the bush, I never struggle to find inspiration.”
