Wendy Buckley is a textile artist with “busy hands”. Always looking for new projects to inspire her creative juices, she is using her semi-retirement to revisit old passions, including screen-printing her original designs on cotton and/or linen. “Hand-cutting stencils and mixing colours is fun but using white ink on coloured fabric is a real favourite – the crispness and freshness of white on coloured linen really pops.” She has also been using upcycled woollen blankets, combined with wool needle felting, to create delightful woollen toys in both pastels and brights… you can never have too many woollen toys!
